FAQ
How do I know if seeing a psychologist is right for me?
If something is affecting how you think, feel, or function, that’s enough reason. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or want to understand yourself better, therapy provides a place to talk.
What can I expect in my first appointment?
In your first appointment we’ll discuss the areas where you’d like psychology input. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and clarify what you want to change.
How many appointments will I need?
The number of appointments depends on what you’re working through. Some men find a handful of sessions useful, others prefer ongoing support over a longer period. We’ll work out what makes sense for you.
What is the cost of an appointment?
The session fee is $220. Medicare rebates are available with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. For full fees and rebate information, see Fees.
